Remember it takes time and patience to get those great hands!

Many of the poker odds quoted here are subject to external variables such as the number of players and type of game being played. The odds do offer insight into relationships between hands.

The poker odds (in Texas Holdem) are as follows. There are 52 cards in a pack, and 5 cards in a hand. The total comes to 2,598,960 different permutations of any 5 cards from the deck of 52.

Odds of being dealt: (in Texas Holdem)

Two Aces: 220-1

Any pair dealt for your cards: 16-1

Ace, King of the same suit: 331-1

Ace, King of any suit: 110-1

Two cards of the same suit: 3.25-1

Any pair or Ace: 3.9-1

An Ace: 5.7-1

Two cards that are the same suit and connected (example, 6 clubs and 7 clubs): 26.6-1
