John was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and graduated from Florida State University as a finance major. He switched to
the more exciting career of air traffic controller and then moved on to poker after being fired by Ronald Reagan.
John Cernuto might not be a familiar face to the newbies of poker because he hasn't appeared on the WPT as of yet. Many
tournament professionals recognize him as one of the best in the game of Omaha HiLo.
John Cernuto's Favourite and best game is Omaha High Low, but he also plays all other games. He has three World Series of
Poker bracelets:

No Limit Holdem in 1997
Omaha in 2002
Besides the bracelets he holds in these three games, his 2003 Legends of Poker win in HOE (Holdem/Omaha/Stud8) was proof
